Jómóka Hungarian Táncház Band – Utah

2007. June • 20.

Jómóka {pronounced yo-mo-ka} travels throughout the Western US to bring traditional village dance music from Hungary and Transylvania to dance parties, dance workshops, and dance performances. Most of their music is played with violin, modified viola (kontra), and bass. The Band varies this with wooden flute, drum, koboz, gardon, and cimbalom to capture typical sounds of different musical regions.
